This is an outstanding and extremely atmospheric moonlight scene by a Northumbrian artist whose work is not often seen although one of the gallery directors had one of St Mary's Lighthouse in their personal collection for many years

The original receipt regarding the purchase also displays a super small watercolour sketch by the artist and is also signed by him
