Recent studies revealed that Wilms tumor gene on the X chromosome (WTX) and PALB2, a major BRCA2 binding partner known as FANCN, have been shown to interact with the DC domain of KEAP1, inhibit the ubiquitination of Nrf2 and promote NRF2-dependent transcription ( WTX and PALB2 are both considered as tumor suppressor genes since their mutations are often found in kidney tumor (Wilms tumor) and breast and pancreatic cancers, respectively
