During the Solera method, young and older rums are blended many times in French oak barrels. At the end, Matusalem bottles Gran Reserva as well as younger blends. Gran Reserva has 15 year, 18 year and 23 year varieties. The rums evoke sweet vanilla, molasses, caramel and plums on the nose and taste delicate, velvety smooth with hints of vanilla, molasses and caramel. (ABV 40% 80 proof)
