They transfer forces from the tires to the vehicle body. In rubber form, this weight transfer is slow and sloppy. The rear knuckle is attached to the rear lower control arm at 2 points and is not intended to more forwards and backwards. Under acceleration and braking the rubber rear bushings allow fore aft movement, ruining
